Modern Teaching Methods and use of ICT in teaching-learning :The faculty members make use of modern teaching methods using audio visual aids, LCD and Internet.

Plan of action of the department for the next five years :The department has an action plan for the next five years. It has plans for achieving the following targets:

1. Preparing a project proposal for undertaking a major project on implementation of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarrentee Act (Scheme): An Assessment in Assam.

2. The department  proposes to organise atleast 3 Seminars (national Level) during the next five years

3. Departmental library will be improved.

4. Plan for introducing more improved visual TLM.

5. Plan for carrying out more students project work in future.
