Career Oriented Courses : North Lakhimpur College is introducing few Career Oriented Courses with assistance from UGC from the session 2006-2007. Such courses available in the current session are (i) Sericulture
(ii) Repairing and Maintenance of Consumer Electronic Equipments
(iii) Computer Application.
A student can pursue such a job oriented course with other regular courses, i.e. H.S. or T.D.C., simultaneously in the college. After successful completion of the course the student will obtain certificate and diploma. These courses are expected to help the students to find jobs in various fields. Free Computer Course by DOEACC (Department of Electronics Accredited Computer Course) DOEACC Centre Guwahati, a unit of DOEACC society, an autonomous body of the Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (MCIT), Govt. of India will conduct an IT certificate Training Program for the final year undergraduate and graduate level students with a department of DONER sponsorship, in North Lakhimpur College. The main objective of the Certification of Information Science in Colleges (CISC) course is to make the final year undergraduate students more employable after completion of the course. Frequency of Admissions : June–July and December–January every year. Frequency of Registration : For January Exams – Preceeding 1st July. Frequency of Registration : For July Exams – Preceeding 1st January.Frequency of Tests of Certification : Last week of January & July, centrally organized by DOEACC Centre, Guwahati.
