University Test Centre : North Lakhimpur College acts as one of the centers for entrance tests conducted by Tezpur University. Dibrugarh University also holds its entrance test in the college for admission to its B.C.A. course. The combined entrance test for medical and engineering is also held in this college. N.C.C. The N.C.C. is an organization, which provides a golden opportunity for cadets to develop leadership qualities, self-confidence, to be disciplined and devoted citizen to promote the cause of National Integration and National Building. The N.C.C. unit of our college is affiliated to the 10 th Assam Battalion N.C.C. group H.Q. Dibrugarh. The unit takes part in different national and state level official programs of the district authority. The N.C.C. unit of the college undertakes various social service activities in the whole district. The cadets of this unit show brilliant performance in the certificate examinations of the wing and most of them are able to get absorbed in military and Para-Military services in different capacities.IQAC There is an Internal Quality Assessment Cell (IQAC) in the college which is founded for comprehensive internal assessment of all academic and other related matters. On the basis of such assessment remedial measures are taken by the IQAC in co-ordination with the college authority when and where it is found necessary. N.S.S. Anothere important organization is N.S.S. For the past many years, the students of our college rendered benevolent service to the people of the whole district of Lakhimpur, through this organization. It unfolds the opportunities to the students to inculcate the spirit of fellow feeling service to the people for their socio-economic upliftment. Rovers and Rangers : The college has two groups viz- The Lachit Rovers and the Mulagabharu Rangers. Alumni Association : Alumni Association of North Lakhimpur College is a forum of its ex students. It was formed in 2002 A.D. and henceforth this association has been not only providing an excellent liaison between the college and its former students but also contributing actively for development of the college. Parents / guardians association : Parents and guardians of the students of the college are organized under the Parents and Guardians’ Association. It is helping to maintain reciprocity between the two sides and get mutual feedback which is beneficial to students and the institution as well. Extra curricular and co-curricular activities : Besides this a large number of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are undertaken by the institution in helping to identity, promote and polish the academic, social and cultural capabilities of students and teachers. The different departments forums hold Seminars, symposiums, debatings amongst the students and invite experts and resource persons from other institutions. Every year, in the month of November/December, North Lakhimpur College Debating & Symposium Section organizes the Golap Sarma Memorial Inter College/University North East Debate Competition. Students from different parts of Assam and North Eastern States participate in this competition. Women Cell: The Women Cell of North Lakhimpur College was started in January 2004. The motto of the Women cell is to make the girl students all rounder and to create consciousness among them for perfect womenhood, to make them economically independence by entrepreneurship development, to make them fit to face competitive examinations.
