  • The department has a well equipped departmental library

  • It has its own Anthropological Forum to organize seminars, departmental freshmen social, maintaining, organizing field work etc.

  • In every year the students and the teachers of the department conduct field work to study about socio-economic condition of the rural people specially tribal people.

  • The department has well equipped laboratory and instruments.

a) Participated in a National Seminar on Environmental Conservation, Depleting Resourses and Sustainable Development  organized by North Lakhimpur College held on January 28 and 29 and presented a paper.

b) Articles published in Society & Cultural Section of ‘Bishwa Kosh’ published by Assam Sahitya Sabha in 2007.

Sri Munmi Gogoi, M.Sc.

Presented a paper on “Health status of  Tai Khamti Girls of Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh” in an International Seminar on Tai, Tribal and other Ethnic of North East India, S.E. Asia and Yunnan, China organized by the Tai Literary and Cultural Council, Dhemaji, Assam on 21st & 22nd March’2007.
