Learning Resources of the Departments- Library computer and other resources: The Department has 772 number books in the Departmental Library and one computer and LCD projector. To reflect the study of Assamese Cultural History, the department has formed a mini museum in the department.

Modern Teaching Methods and use of ICT in teaching-learning :

The audio-visual teaching method is applied by almost all classes of the department using LCD projector.

Plan of action of the department for the next five years :

The department has an action plan for the next five years. It has plans for achieving the following targets:

»	Planning to publish at least five reference books.
»	Planning to organise two workshop cum seminar in the topic “ The pronounciation and spelling of Assamese language” and “Contemporary Assamese Magazine”.
»	Planning to organise a Regional Seminar
»	Planning to publish a yearly journal containing the achievement and information reflecting the department.
»	Planning to expand the departmental library for the help of the students.
»	Planning for research of the socio-cultural and literature of the Lakhimpur District.
